Meet the Team Behind Our Award-Winning Culture of Ethics and Integrity

May 15, 2023

Achieving this distinction is a feat that requires dedication and commitment to business integrity and best-in-class ethics, compliance, and governance from all employees. The Anywhere Ethics and Compliance team is the group responsible for submitting our annual application – and did you know that that team comprises all women?

Anywhere is proud to be home to a strong bench of female leadership, and this team exemplifies how diverse leadership helps move our business to what’s next.

Learn more from Shacara Delgado, Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, as she introduces her rock star team who help us achieve the World’s Most Ethical Companies designation each year.

In my role as Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, each day I work very closely with my team to ensure that our business operates with integrity, and that we deliver services in compliance with the law. A big focus for us is to provide all employees with the best tools and resources that enable them to act ethically 365 days a year.  By doing this, our company has successfully achieved incredible designations such as being one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for twelve years in a row.  The all-women ethics & compliance team behind the World’s Most Ethical Companies application are committed to doing what’s right, explore and embrace what’s possible, and are dedicated to delivering on their commitments to themselves, the company and the industry.

I’m so honored to get to work with Paula Young, Samantha Subick, and Rebecca Dwyer every day, and am so proud of all of the important work they do that allows Anywhere to continue our ethical reputation as we move the industry to what’s next. I invite you to get to know them a little bit more!

Meet Paula Young, senior director.

Q: How long have you been at Anywhere? 17 proud years!

Q: What’s the most rewarding part of the World’s Most Ethical Companies application process? Independently, we all work in our individual silos, but the WMEC application allows us to come together collectively and collaborate with all of our Anywhere teams to amplify the great work we are doing in every corner of the business, across the enterprise. Through the application, we are reminded of how our employees and leaders are supporting a culture of doing what’s right, and leading with integrity no matter where we sit in the business whether we are internally or externally facing.

Q: What does working for an ethical company mean to you? Working for an ethical company means that I’m working with, and for an organization that values honesty, transparency, diversity, which by default supports those who do and want to do the right thing. Ethical companies outperform those who don’t have a heightened focus on integrity. Ethics is a true value proposition not just for our employees, but also for our customers, clients, agents, and franchisees.

Q: What are some of your interests outside of work? Outside of promoting a culture of ethics and compliance at Anywhere, I’m an active member of my local community, I enjoy cooking, reading, and traveling with family. I’m super passionate about improving the standards of trust, integrity, diversity, and inclusion in all facets of my professional and personal life.
