Founder Sue Yannaccone teams up with industry leaders Sherry Chris and Lindsay Listanski to launch new initiative, advocating for actionable practices and policies for businesses to support women in real estate
MADISON, N.J., October 4, 2023—What Moves Her®, the advocacy organization designed to help women in the real estate industry develop their leadership skills and realize their professional development goals, today announced the launch of its new campaign: Balance Blueprint. Joining founder Sue Yannaccone, president and CEO of Anywhere Brands and Anywhere Advisors, are two new executive co-chairs to guide the new campaign and growth strategy for What Moves Her®: industry leaders Sherry Chris and Lindsay Listanski.
The new co-chairs will team up with Yannaccone – who has been a vocal public advocate for fairness and opportunity in the workplace – to mobilize an urgent effort to spur action on behalf of women in real estate. As part of the Balance Blueprint campaign, the team will be conducting a series of leadership roundtables with executives from throughout the Anywhere network of franchisees to better understand challenges and opportunities for women professionals in their local markets while sharing and reinforcing policies that have already been put into play at Anywhere. The effort will culminate in the development of a ‘playbook’ for businesses in the industry to implement best practices and policies to support women and underrepresented professionals in real estate.

Chris, who recently retired from brand leadership of Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate and ERA® and now serves as executive advisor for Anywhere Brands, is a renowned real estate icon drawing from more than 40 years of experience in the industry. She has an extensive track record for growing brands in the U.S. and internationally, having expanded the BHGRE brand to 40 states and six countries and the ERA Real Estate brand to saw similar growth with Chris at the helm, as the network footprint has expanded to 43 and 34 countries under her leadership. Listanski, the national vice president of field marketing for Coldwell Banker Realty, brings a wealth of expertise in mobilizing key constituencies, and developing innovative marketing campaigns throughout her 12 years with the company. As a rising leader, she was just named a top 50 Best Women in Business by NJBIZ and was also featured this year as a 40 Under 40 recipient by Business Elite.
Together with Yannaccone, the new co-chairs plan to expand What Moves Her® within the United States. In addition to the Balance Blueprint campaign, the team will implement new programming including elevated networking events, a podcast, awards program, and more, the team aims to grow its membership to more than 10,000 industry women and allies by the end of 2024.
What Moves Her® originally launched in 2020 in partnership with Coldwell Banker, and has since expanded its reach to the entire Anywhere family of brands and throughout real estate. Through its diverse mix of in-person and virtual events, prominent guest speakers, networking opportunities, and workshops, the program has reached over 8,000 participants from the industry, providing tools and strategies to help women continue achieving success in their personal and professional lives.
